We are glad to give notice of the workshop Collezionismi e musealizzazione tra passato e presente (Collectings and musealization between past and present), which will take place at the Italian Institute for German Studies in Rome (Villa Sciarra, Sala Quadro, via calandrelli, 25) on February 15th-16th, 2024.

The workshop is organized by Francesco Campana, Francesca Iannelli and Gabriele Tomasi, in collaboration with Lorenzo Ferrari, Chiara Magni, and Gioia Sili. The event is founded by the Italian Institute for German Studies as a part of the project Intersezioni: museo reale, museo ideale, museo virtuale con e oltre Hegel (Intersections: real museum, ideal museum, virtual museum with and beyond Hegel). This marks the second workshop following the one titled Ripensando l’istituzione museale nel dibattito tedesco del primo Ottocento (Rethinking the museum institution in the early 19th century German debate) held at the Italian Institute for German Studies in Rome on October 9th-11th, 2023.

The event is supported by the Department of Philosophy, Communication and Performing Arts at Roma Tre University, the Department of Philosophy, Sociology, Education and Applied Psychology of the University of Padova, the XXV World Congress of Philosophy 2024, Hegel Now!, HegelArtNet, and hegelpd.
