EVENT: "With Hegel in the XXI Century. A Philosophical Exhibition" (Rome, 23 September-07 October 2021)

We are glad to give notice of the philosophical exhibition With Hegel in the XXI Century (Rome, 23rd September – 07th October 2021) organized within the project Hegel Now! and curated by Francesca Iannelli and Frédérique Malaval, in collaboration with Chiara Anastasia Moda and Maria Stadirani.

The vernissage will take place on September 23rd, 2021 at 16.00 in the Foyer of the Aula Magna of the University of RomaTre (via Ostiense 234, Roma).

Visiting hours (CEST): Monday – Friday: 9:00-19:00; Saturday: 9:00-13:00.
Visits can be booked for the day of the opening or the following days by sending an email with your name, surname and preferred time to the following address: hegelexhibition@gmail.com.

The exhibition will include works by Andrea Volo, Felice Cimatti, Agostino Bonaventura, Maeva Gardenat, Didymos, Tito Amodei, Francesca Tulli, Bettie Elghanian, Magdalena Cichon, Cendrine Rovini, Manu Invisible, Anastassia Tetrel, Elisa Costa, Olivia Vieweg, Marco Locatelli e Raffaele Moretti, Chiara Anastasia Moda, Maria Stadirani e Francesca Iannelli.

The works on exhibition will evoke central themes and figures of Hegel’s philosophy: from the notion of Verdopplung to dialectics, from recognition to the notion of spirit to the controversial thesis of the end or death of art. Other sections of the exhibition – “Hegel revisited”, “Hegel virtual”, “Hegel urban” – will be dedicated to contemporary reinterpretations of Hegel’s philosophy and to the contamination between Hegel’s philosophy and the artistic languages of our time, from street art to social media.
