Conference: “Die Aktualität des Geistes: Klassische Positionen nach Kant und ihre Relevanz in der Moderne” (Munich, 4-5 August 2017)

We are glad to announce that the conference “Die Aktualität des Geistes: Klassische Positionen nach Kant und ihre Relevanz in der Moderne” will take place at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität (Munich), on 4-5 August 2017.

The conference will discuss the conceptual complexity of the conceptions of “Geist” within classical German philosophy and later philosophers, with a particular focus on the dimensions of theory and praxis, subjectivity and inter-subjectivity, epistemology, aesthetics, metaphysics and theology. In addition, the conference will explore the possible systematic relevance of these conceptions for the modern world.

Main speakers are: Thomas Buchheim, Christoph Demmerling, Volker Gerhardt, Anton Friedrich Koch, Jörg Noller, Birgit Recki, Melanie Riedel, Violetta Waibel, Thomas Wyrwich, Thomas Zwenger.
