CFP: Hegel: between “Logic” and “History” (Il Pensare, 2016)

We are glad to announce a Call for Paper for the philosophical magazine Il Pensare on the topic “Hegel: between ‘Logic’ and ‘History'” (2016).

The Call is entirely dedicated to Hegel’s thought for the bicentenary of the publication of the third and final volume of Science of Logic. The intention is to emphasise the importance of logic and history in this specific Author because of his unquestionable theoretical relevance, in order to analyse the relationship between “unity” and “plurality” as the philosophical concepts.

Those who are willing to partecipate at the project are free to choose the argument, with the only condition that it fits within the theoretical framework of the following themes:

1) The rising of the Hegelian dialectic;
2) Phenomenology and logic;
3) Logic and system development;
4) Comparisons: readings on logic and history in Hegel and in great interpreters of his theoretical thought.

The manuscripts (max. 50.000 digits in “word” format and no rtf, pdf or odt) must be sent by October 15, 2016 to info@ilpensare.com or marco.casucci@unipg.it, and must include also a title, a brief abstract and the presentation of the author. As well as the precise argument of the papers submitted and received in response to the call, the works will be evaluated according even to the following criteria: originality and the relevance of the elaborated idea, articulateness of presentation and the importance of the presented bibliography and literature.
