We are happy to announce the release of the new Italian translation of Hegel’s Doctrine of the Concept, edited by Paolo Giuspoli, Giovanni Castegnaro, Federico Orsini, and Armando Manchisi: G.W.F. Hegel, Scienza della logica. Volume 2: La Logica soggettiva. Il concetto (1816) (Padova University Press, 2025).
This is the third volume of the first complete Italian edition of Hegel’s Science of Logic (in 4 volumes), published in the book series “Quaderni di Verifiche”. In addition to the new translation, it includes extensive philological, terminological, and historical-philosophical notes, a comprehensive introduction, bibliographical updates, and an essay discussing some of the most important lexical issues relating to the transposition of Hegel’s text into Italian.
