The Schelling Tag 2026 is dedicated to exploring the concept of agency in Schelling’s thought, with a particular focus on his radical reconceptualization of nature and its implications for key notions such as subjectivity, objectivity, and life. The conference investigates how Schelling’s rethinking of ‘nature’ may challenge modern accounts of agency grounded in autonomy, intentionality, and subject-centered action, by developing a dynamic and relational understanding of acting, productivity, and self-determination.
