We are glad to announce that the “Third Carinthian Workshop on Topics from Early Modern Philosophy to Kant. Kant, Maria von Herbert, and Early Modern Women Philosophers” will take place in Klagenfurt (Austria) on October 21-22, 2016.
The Third Carinthian EMP-Kant Workshop will focus on the role of Women Philosophers from Early Modern Philosophy to Kant, thereby drawing the attention to a Women philosopher from Klagenfurt, namely Maria von Herbert, who corresponded with Kant and who, together with her brother Franz Paul von Herbert, played an important role in Austrian Enlightenment.
The workshop has no participation fee and everyone interested is welcome.
Keynote Speakers will be:
Rae Langton, Cambridge University;
Martha Bolton, Rutgers University.
Affirmed Speakers will be:
Bernhard Ritter, Alpen-Adria University Klagenfurt.
