We are glad to announce that a call for papers is now open for a special issue of Hegel Bulletin, which will be dedicated to the topic “Hegel and 20th-Century French Philosophy” and will be edited by Paul Giladi (University of Sheffield) and Henry Somers-Hall (Royal Holloway, University of London).
The range of themes of possible relevance to this special issue extends across metaphysics, social and political theory, ethics, history, religion, and aesthetics. Contributions may deal with any figures in the 20th-Century French tradition in relation to Hegel, including, for example, De Beauvoir, Merleau-Ponty, Levinas, Deleuze, Bergson, and Badiou.
Historical papers that base their argument on careful textual analysis and reconstructive papers that frame their argument in the context of contemporary debates are equally welcomed. Authors are encouraged to contact one of the guest editors in advance of submission if they are unsure of whether their papers are appropriate for the special issue.
Accepted submissions will illuminate specific parts of both Hegel and 20th-Century French Philosophy.

All papers (7000 words to 10000 words) will be double-blind refereed and must be submitted within 1st December 2017 to e-mail address: hbsi2018@gmail.com.
