CFP: Supervenience and the theory of experience (Metodo. International Studies in Phenomenology and Philosophy)

Metodo. International Studies in Phenomenology and Philosophy is glad to announce a call for papers on the topic: “Supervenience and the theory of experience. Assessing the explanatory and descriptive power of a formal concept.”

Over the last decades, the concept of supervenience has gained increasing attention in several fields of philosophy. Such a philosophical notion of supervenience promises to provide a unifying framework to address and differentiate the forms of dependence relations among elementary and higher-order properties. Particularly, the focus of this thematic issue of Metodo will be the applicability of supervenience to concrete experiential phenomena.

Editors: Michela Summa & Pietro Giuffida.

Deadline for submissions: May, 17th, 2015.
