We are glad to give notice of the release of the volume Die Aktivität der Wahrnehmung und die Metaphysik des Geistes. Eine aktualisierende Lektüre von Hegels Philosophie des Geistes by Thomas Oehl (Mohr Siebeck, 2021).

Hegel’s philosophy of spirit unfolds and defends the thought that the human being as a whole is »spirit«. Thomas Oehl actualizes this thought as it pertains to the current philosophical debate on perceptual experience. It is shown that this thought has far-reaching metaphysical implications, especially for the idea of »God”.
