Call for Papers

Recently different scholars have studied Husserlian phenomenology with regard to its interlocutors. The relation between Husserl and the neo-Kantians has been of particular interest in this context, since the dialogue and correspondence between Husserl and the representatives of the Marburg School and the Baden School constituted one of the most relevant philosophical scenarios for the formation and definition of the phenomenological movement. Beyond their historical coincidence, neo-Kantians and Husserl shared common systematic stances regarding the theory of knowledge, logic, history and psychology. This colloquium aims at presenting and discussing the systematic connections between Husserl’s phenomenology and his neo-Kantian interlocutors.

We invite graduate students and scholars to submit proposals for the Neo-Kantianism and Husserlian Phenomenology Colloquium, to be held in November 2016 at Universidad Alberto Hurtado and Universidad Diego Portales, Chile. Proposals may focus on any topic relating to neo-Kantianism and Husserl’s phenomenology. Proposals in Spanish and English are accepted.

The deadline for submissions is 10th October 2016. Notifications of acceptance will be sent by October 15, 2016. Submissions may take the form of a 300-500-word abstract, and they must be sent as a PDF-document via e-mail to the organizers of the event.
