CALL FOR PAPERS

5th International Congress for Hegelian Studies.

Hegel: dialectics and politics
Puebla, Mexico City, Cuernavaca (Mexico)
24-28 September 2018

As in previous conferences, we intend to gather researchers and scholars from different universities worldwide, to debate around each of the subjects tackled by Hegel’s thought and its influence in other thinkers and philosophies. Under the title “Hegel: dialectics and politics” we intend to call for reflection and discussion on the political side of Hegel’s Philosophy. It is known, that there is no unanimity in the interpretation of Hegel’s political philosophy, or in drawing out the practical and political consequences of his epistemology and ontology. Without unanimity in
this respect, it is necessary to reconstruct and discuss the different guidelines of the contemporary Hegelian studies around the political.
The Hegelian critical project of examining and developing the forms of thought, not as rigid or merely given categories, but as productions of a Reason which apprehends and manifests itself through History, provides, even for present times, a constellation of reflections of relevant social and political implications. Therefore, for this year, apart from the usual presentation of the  diverse aspects of Hegel’s philosophy, we consider necessary to have a special place to reflect upon the relationship between dialectics and politics in Hegel.
In order to participate in the Call for Papers for this conference we require an abstract not exceeding two paragraphs, to be sent to the e-mail address razonenlahistoria@gmail.com .
